highlights
Author Shauna Glenn was recently named a Finalist in the Novella category of the 2009 Next Generation Indie BookAwards. Her first fiction novel, Heaping Spoonful, was recognized with eight other books in this category.

“Obviously it’s an honor to be recognized, but awards are just icing on the cupcake,” Glenn said. “After years of searching, I have finally found my passion in writing. I’m just thrilled to death that people are reading and enjoying my thoughts and stories.”

Glenn, a FortWorth native, is best known for her over-the-top blog, (“Is It 5o’clockYet?”), which is read daily by more than 1,000 people, and her regular column in Fort Worth, Texas: The City's Magazine (“Parental Guidance Suggested”). Heaping Spoonful was published in July 2008.

Besides her award-recognized blog and monthly column, Glenn is currently writing her fourth fiction novel. Her third book, Relative Insanity, is expected to be released soon. She is also working on a speaking endeavor for women’s groups. “For a long time, I didn’t have a voice,” Glenn said, “but I’ve found it. I think my story can help other people find their voice and start genuinely expressing themselves.”
