Ellen Besso is a Holistic MidLife Coach and Author who helps women uncover their passions, find new directions in life, live abundantly as caregivers and put spirituality into practice in their daily lives.
Ellen’s 25 years experience as a coach, counsellor and social worker and as a midlife woman, mother, caregiver and spiritual seeker make her uniquely qualified to guide and support women. Ellen has been trained as a North Star Coach by Dr. Martha Beck, author of Finding Your Way in a Wild New World and monthly contributor to O, The Oprah Magazine. During her midlife journey she was mentored by Maryland-based Judith Duerk, MA, author of A Circle of Stones: Woman’s Journey to Herself. Ellen also trained and worked as a Trager practitioner. In 2007 and again in 2009 Ellen’s spiritual pursuits took her to India, where she and her partner traveled and volunteered, tutoring Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, India; Ellen looks forward to returning to India in the future. Ellen offers inspirational personal coaching, group work, books and articles that support women as they rediscover themselves. Her book Surviving Eldercare chronicles her journey with her own mother who has Alzheimer’s, and provides a body-mind-spirit approach to caregiving.
