He is the most loving friend you could have; loyal, funny and always greets you with a warm hug when you come home!  No, it is not my handsome hubby, but the other male in my life besides our wonderful son it's my puppy Bonito!

I never thought in a million years I would love a puppy as much as I love this dog. He is such a blessing that I recommend if it is right for your family you think about getting one.

While at home & running my business Bonito reminds me about walks. Which keeps me on track to get of my chair, out of my office, to exercise & enjoy the fresh air.  Opening my mind to the wonders of the park which is so peaceful and serene.

He has taught me to be calm and relaxed; not to sweat the small stuff but to take every moment and enjoy life’s blessings. Through him I realize that we do not have enough time.  From reading my articles you should know by now that I tell it like it is. So, yes, if you think about it deeply we put life off.  Knowing this, we should find the time to share and talk and not make excuses.

For example I was in my office working on a large presentation. Bonito was barking from his kennel reminding me to take him for a walk; I continue working, ignoring his cries.  Now, all the dog owners would say” You are doing the right thing is to ignore him until he calms down then let him out!  .So listen to the rest of my story………..

………. he was reminding me to balance my work time with him!  It was our time together for our afternoon walk at the park. I could not take it anymore I went down stairs to correct him’; low behold there he was just lying down with a look that soften my heart.  Suddenly I realized it was our time.  He did not yelp or growled he just lay there patiently till I open the door and let out.  He approached me lovingly. Ready for me to scratch his tummy which he adores. As Bonito always greets with love never anger  this is something we should all do with our human loved ones. Always, unconditional love, never judgemental.  That afternoon was amazing we went to the park walked for about fifty minutes in the sun and played likes two crazy kids just enjoying each other.

My love on a leash is a Portuguese Water Dog full of grace, love and patience slow to anger and loyal always.  Born May 25, 2009 he came into our home and filled it with love, reminders on taking time for yourself and loved ones, yep having our Bonito has added another new perspective to my life and the meaning of FAMILY our Love on a Leash.

I must add to this fine article that Bonito received his championship March 7^th, 2010, yes we are so proud of our new addition.

Learn to be quite enough to hear the sound of the genuine within yourself so that you can hear it in others.
